After the sale had been agreed with the developer and the deposit paid, but before contracts were exchanged, an unexpected government announcement increasing stamp duty left our client facing an additional £180,000 in costs. We negotiated with the developer to cover this additional cost, allowing the purchase to complete successfully without the client bearing the extra expense.

A Saudi Arabia-based client was paying approximately £1,500 a month through the building’s management company, which used a shared commercial meter. We liaised with the management company, individual residential meters were installed for all flats, and her bill fell to below £300 a month.
